He took a menacing step toward her, then another. She backed away slowly, trying not to be obvious in her cowardice. But he didn’t stop coming, and she didn’t stop retreating, and finally her back was pressed into a thick three trunk.

She didn’t know this Aden, and didn’t know how he’d react to the things she did and said.

Then he flattened his hands at her temples, his body brushing against hers and making her gasp, and she didn’t know anything at all. He’d caged her in, surrounded her, becoming the center of her world.
