I think that in honor of the next Angels book that I am gonna reread Wicked Nights. I am gonna start rereading the book tonight and savor it in a few weeks...
I loved the book the darkest seduction. I have been hooked on the series since I read the darkest passion. I need to buy the darkest craving. I have to say that is my new favorite. I am extremely anxious to read wicked nights.
I need to reread the darkest seduction and wicked nights. I really enjoyed wicked nights.
It doesn't look like anyone has commented for a while! Well I have read Darkest Seduction and Wicked Night's this week.
I did wonder what Paris's story would be like given that Gena has said she did struggle to write it. I have to say I couldn't tell. It was a very nice continuation of the series. I wasn't expecting a resolution to the portrait of Galen's beheading for another couple of books, so I am looking forwards to how the story line progresses, as well as getting to know a few of the newer characters. I enjoyed it enough to ignore a few niggley points, like, if he had to tattoo his fingertips to be able to touch her, how could he then feel her touching parts of his body that weren't tattooed...
With Wicked Nights, the relationship between the two characters Zacharel and Annabell was very intense and really drew me in. I also enjoyed the development of Zacharel's relationship with his men. I find myself really wanting to get to know the other renegade angels. I didn't guess the twist at the end, which I normally can. I was a little disappointed with the resolution though. It was a repetition of the way one of the other heroines was saved in a different book and should have been obvious to Zacheral almost immediately after realising the problem. I could have believed that he knew and turned away from it because of the emotional turmoil however I didn't find that within the subtext. I think the twist could have been brought in a little earlier to make the consequences of the choice clearer and his struggle more profound. For example, I would have liked to have known if he had chosen to give Love back to Unforgiveness, would that have saved his soul, or was he too far gone? Did he consider that when making his decision? Overall I felt the ending was a little rushed. Having said that I'm looking forwards to the next one in the Angel series.
